THERE'S SO MUCH to see and do, so here’s a little run-down of what’s happening on the day and what you need to know.

For important info and to make sure you don’t miss a thing, click here for our downloadable site map!

Parking

Plan ahead with our handy downloadable parking map, which highlights the location of our mobility parking area, two public parking areas and regular public parking spots at Lloyd Elsmore Park.

What's New

Each year we aim to have something new, whether it be a collection of unique vehicles, a special milestone for a classic marque or a car or two with a story to tell. Keep an eye out for updates on this website and on our Facebook page as we bring together the 2024 show.

Hot Hatches

The central theme for 2024 is 'Hot Hatches'. Most will remember the iconic Peugeot 205 GTi, the Volkswagen Golf, the Renault 5, cars that spawned the hot hatch genre. This year we have a selection of hot hatches to bring back those memories.

Special milestones

Keep an eye out for special displays from classic marques that are either celebrating anniversaries or even the introduction of a new model.

Interesting displays

As a tribute to  the famous Goodwood Revival there will be our own “Brit & Euro Revival” display, showcasing a selection of cars of racing/rallying history or tributes to cars with their own famous history.

And while not quite a display you can closely admire, the NZ Warbirds will being doing a special flypast at some point during the day. Lets hope the weather plays its part so we can all see some of the aircraft of yesteryear grace the skies, while vehicles of yesteryear grace the park.

An annual favourite is the active display of vintage steam engines by the Vintage Engine Restorers Association and they are back again to showcase those workhorses that were popular on NZ farms during the early 20th century.

Supporting

local

Do think about making time to visit the Howick Historical Village while at the show and see how the early settlers lived, recreating the mid-1800's village of Howick. Entry will be discounted to 50% for people visiting from the show.

If you don't have time for a full visit, donations are still gratefully received to help in the ongoing upkeep and preservation of the forty historical, onsite buildings.
